The Vocaster  microphone gain knob on the top of the interface sheds a green light when your microphone gain is set to a good level, a red light when it needs adjustment, and a yellow light when it is somewhere in the middle. If you still can’t figure out how to get that green light to go off, then just press the auto gain button and the Vocaster will set your gain for you. 

 

That’s not all that the Vocaster does for you.  Once you start recording your podcast, you’ll quickly realize that your voice  sounds different when recorded than it does in real life.  If you don’t like how your voice sounds on the recording, use one of the Vocaster’s four speech enhancements to a little added effect.
