Yamaha HS Series Specifications

The Yamaha HS Series delivers an astonishingly smooth response over a wide range of frequencies and includes 3 different models – the HS5, HS7, and HS8. Each model features a highly efficient 1 inch dome tweeter to extend the usable frequency range for distortion-free sound up to 30 kHz. Additionally each monitor in the HS series features an XLR and 1/4″ TRS input that accepts either balanced or unbalanced signals for integration into a variety of studio setups.

The HS5 studio monitor features a 5 inch cone woofer, 54Hz-30kHz frequency response and an MSRP of $239.99.

The HS7 studio monitor comes with a 6.5 inch cone woofer.43Hz-30kHz frequency response, and an MSRP of $319.99.

The HS8 studio monitor is the largest option with an 8 inch cone woofer, 38Hz-30kHz frequency response, and an MSRP of $369.99.

Yamaha Room Control and High Trim

The Yamaha HS Series also features room control and high trim in each model. Room control helps attenuate the unnatural, exaggerated low-end that happens when speakers are placed close to walls. The high trim gives you the flexibility to control the high frequency response that you need. These features set the Yamaha HS series apart from their competitors and make them a solid option for your setup.
