Yamaha DM5 Professional 60-Channel Dual Bay Digital Mixing Console
Pairs well with
Overview
The DM5 brings the power and expandability of the DM7 into a more portable form, setting a new standard for mid-size digital consoles. It shares the DM7’s processing architecture, firmware, and editor, so show files move between consoles without friction and engineers can switch systems without relearning their workflow. Renowned Yamaha sound at 96 kHz, a deep set of onboard effects, and access to premium processing inherited from the RIVAGE PM Series give it a sonic edge well beyond its size class.
Its dual-bay surface puts 26 touch-sensitive motorized faders, two 13.3" multi-touch screens, and two 4.3" utility touchscreens at your fingertips. With 32 analog inputs, 16 analog outputs, 64x64 Dante, and 18x18 USB audio, it scales easily from a single room to a networked system with RPio, Rio, and RUio I/O. A tilting display with four angle settings helps reduce glare, which is especially useful when mixing outdoors.
At 47.5 lbs, the DM5 is road-ready and durable without being cumbersome. Optional software packages add dedicated broadcast (DEK-BR), theater (DEK-TH), and Dugan automix (DEK-DUGAN) features, while the PY-DSP expansion card unlocks 32 premium rack slots including Rupert Neve Designs processing. Whether it’s handling a touring show, a house of worship, or a broadcast feed, the DM5 is built to grow with the job.
