Overview

The 18" D.A.S. Vantec-118A is a 2000W powered front-loaded subwoofer system that’s portable, versatile, and simple to use. It is designed to extend the low-end of any speaker system and specifically engineered to complement the Vantec-20A powered curved source line array, full-range speaker. The onboard DSP processing and simple interface help working presenters, musicians, instructors, performers, and A/V providers get powerful, clean, and clear sound quickly.

The subwoofer provides 134 dB of peak SPL—plenty of volume for small- to mid-sized venues including houses of worship, conference centers, performance spaces, and meeting rooms. The highly efficient 2000W Class-D amplifier powers the 18" woofer, providing deep, powerful bass with a frequency range from 125 Hz down to 35 Hz.

The rear panel provides controls for gain, polarity, and a continually variable low-pass filter which ranges from 80 to 125 Hz. Two XLR-1/4" inputs feature XLR outputs with a satellite output switch, which engages a 100 Hz high-pass filter. A Deep/Loud EQ switch allows you to tailor the bass output to provide a low subwoofer response with the Deep setting, while the Loud setting offers a louder, harder hitting response. The subwoofer is phase response coherent, offering precise alignment without the need for an external DSP. The Vantec-118A features powerCON AC input and output for daisy-chaining up to 6 units and includes a powerCON power cord.
