ADJ Focus Spot 2x – Product Overview
ADJ replaced the Focus Spot 2 with the enhanced ADJ Focus Spot 2X which is a 100-watt high-output LED lamp with independent gobo and color wheels, dual prisms, and a lot of effects capabilities.
The ADJ Focus Spot 2X is a good way to stand out from what everyone else uses as it is a direct competitor of the Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 360. However if you need to rent additional units and match them up, rental houses will mostly carry the Intimidator 360.
ADJ is a brand you can trust having been around since the dawn of the DJ, and their parent company also own other trusted names including Elation, Eliminator lighting, global truss, and accu-cable.
The gobo wheel features replaceable, rotating, and index-able gobos, plus effects such as gobo shake. The Focus Spot 2X’s 8-color color wheel lets you pull off splits; plus, there’s a 3-watt UV LED onboard for added black light effects.
The unit features two DMX channel modes (16 and 18 channels) with 3-pin XLR DMX input and output connectors. Multiple units can be daisy-chained to create complex lighting installations, you can program a great lighting universe with these lights.
The ADJ Focus Spot 2X is easier to transport than the Intimidator Spot 360 because it is 10 pounds lighter and has a smaller form factor while still outputting high quality light effects.
The ADJ Focus Spot 2x ships with an Omega bracket and retails for $979.
